1. General & Scope

• These Terms and Conditions of Sale ("Terms") apply to all sales of goods made through our website (https://www.hartlepoolplumbingsupplies.com), over the phone, or in person by Hartlepool Plumbing Supplies Ltd ("we", "us", "our") to any retail or trade customer ("you", "your").

• By placing an order with us, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

• These Terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

2. Pricing & VAT

• All prices displayed on our website or quoted in-store are in GBP (£ Sterling).

• Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rate, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Delivery fees are calculated separately during the checkout process.

• While we strive to ensure all pricing information is accurate, errors may occasionally occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered:

1. We will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it.

2. If we are unable to contact you, we reserve the right to treat the order as cancelled and refund any sums paid in full.

• We reserve the right to change our prices at any time prior to contract formation without prior notice.

3. Availability & Product Descriptions

• All products are subject to stock availability. In the event that an item is out of stock after an order is placed, we will notify you as soon as possible to offer an estimated restock date, an alternative product, or a full refund.

• Images, specifications, dimensions, and descriptions on our website are provided for illustrative purposes only. While we make every effort to represent items accurately, variations in manufacturer specifications or screen displays may occur.

4. Ordering & Contract Formation

• Placing an order on our website or verbally constitutes an offer to purchase goods from us.

• A legally binding contract between us is formed only when we dispatch the goods to you or issue a formal confirmation that the goods are ready for collection. An automated order confirmation email does not constitute formal acceptance of your order.

• Payment must be made in full at the time of placing an online order via our accepted payment gateways, or under agreed credit terms for registered trade account holders.

5. Delivery & Click & Collect

5.1. Delivery Areas & Couriers

• Local Deliveries: Orders within Hartlepool and immediate surrounding areas (e.g., Billingham, Peterlee, Horden, Elwick, Dalton Piercy) may be fulfilled directly using our own transport.

• UK Mainland: Orders outside our local transport radius are shipped via trusted third-party couriers. Deliveries are restricted to valid addresses within the United Kingdom.

5.2. Delivery Times & Conditions

• Estimated delivery times (typically 2–4 working days for standard delivery) are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Time of delivery shall not be of the essence.

• Large or heavy items (e.g., bathroom suites, boilers, copper tubing, radiators) may be delivered via a kerbside pallet service. It is your responsibility to ensure adequate access for large delivery vehicles and to maneuver items onto your property from the drop-off point.

5.3. Click & Collect

• Orders selected for Click & Collect are typically prepared within 24 hours.

• Please wait until you receive a specific "Ready for Collection" email before traveling to our depot. You must bring proof of purchase and ID upon collection.

6. Title & Risk

• Risk of Loss or Damage: Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery to the agreed delivery location or upon collection from our store. You are advised to inspect all packaging and contents upon receipt.

• Title (Ownership): Ownership of the goods shall remain with Hartlepool Plumbing Supplies Ltd until we have received payment in full (in cleared funds) for the goods and any delivery charges.

7. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

7.1. Consumer Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, non-trade customers have the right to cancel an online order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods.

7.2. Our Standard 30-Day Return Policy

• You must notify us at info@hartlepoolplumbingsupplies.com within 30 calendar days of receiving your items to request a return.

• Returned items must be unused, uninstalled, in their original condition and packaging, and suitable for resale. Proof of purchase is required.

• Unauthorized returns sent to our unit without prior notification will not be accepted.

7.3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless verified as faulty:

• Customized or special non-stock order items.

• Hazardous materials, flammable chemicals, or sealants that have been opened or unsealed.

• Clearanced/sale items or gift vouchers.

7.4. Damaged or Defective Goods

• Inspection: You must inspect your order immediately upon delivery. Any transit damage, missing items, or defects must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of receipt.

• Faulty Items: If an item is found to be defective under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund according to statutory guidelines.

7.5. Refunds

Once returned items are received and inspected at our premises (Unit 1a Cromwell Business Park, TS24 7LR), approved refunds will be credited back to your original payment method within 10 business days. We do not charge restocking fees on standard eligible returns.

8. Limitation of Liability & Trade Disclaimer

• Tradesperson & Installation Fees: We strongly advise customers not to book plumbers, fitters, or trade installers until items have been received, inspected, and verified as complete and undamaged. We shall not be liable for any third-party trade costs, wasted labor fees, or consequential losses incurred due to delayed or damaged deliveries.

• Commercial / Indirect Loss: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hartlepool Plumbing Supplies Ltd will not be liable for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of revenue, or indirect/consequential damages arising from the supply of goods.

• Statutory Exceptions: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any statutory rights that cannot be legally excluded under UK law.

9. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable or in breach of contract for any delays or failure to perform our obligations if caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, trade strikes, transport network failure, pandemic restrictions, or supplier shortages.
